The District A Fund was created in an effort to improve the quality of life for the residents and citizens of District A in the City of Wilkes Barre. The Fund will provide the District with necessary services that tax revenue cannot. The goals of the Fund include increasing the current level of security for all residents, to increase the current level of cleanliness and maintenance services that make up our infrastructure and to maintain and enhance our existing recreational facilities.
The Fund is governed by a committee of five volunteers who will review and approve suggested projects. These suggested projects will require a majority vote from the established committee, and if approved, funds would be raised and used to satisfy the objective. Only one project will be undertaken at a time. Each project will also be submitted for approval to the City of Wilkes-Barre and the appropriate authorities.
All donations made to the District A Fund are tax-deductible. Contributions of cash, check or securities can be submitted to the District A Fund of the Luzerne Foundation.
